In a poor town, Tatsumi learned to be a swordsman. His two friends, Iyesau and Sayo set off with him in the hopes of raising money for his community. While traveling to the capital, he becomes separated from his comrades and joins the army alone. A rich young woman called Aria, who promised to house him, takes him in. During the same night, the Night Raid raids Aria’s residence. In the process of trying to save his friend, he learns about their darker side. Aria took in both of his buddies, tormented them, and then killed them. After killing Aria on his own, he decides to join the Night Raid crew.
